Mental Health Instruction is a non-commercial endeavor to bring Mental Health education to schools across the U.S. and beyond. To accomplish this mission, Conflare was tasked to build a custom Wordpress site with complex search functionality, which I led on the development side.

The site contains a library of programs, each with 35+ pieces of related information. To enable visitors to find exactly the right program for their needs many pages were created to convey their information.

A library page to show all programs, with the ability to filter down based on 6 groups of information. A compare page to show selected programs side-by-side. A Category page to see all programs with a related category. Finally, a program detail page with well structured tables and navigation to explore.

At Conflare, a common approach to unique and beautiful designs (that can also be placed anywhere on a page) involves creating custom blocks that can be placed and edited within an admin page builder.

For MHI, a wide array of vibrant background colors meant there was a need to have dynamic background and text colors to meet any situation... All while meeting AA and AAA accessibility compliance standards

MHI and CLPR (Chads Legacy Project) are funded by grants and contributions. To improve transparency and goal keeping, a timeline component was engineered to enable easy management of goal statuses, descriptions, and reference imagery

MHI is on the verge of another round of investment from approved grants, thanks in big part to this successful site. With plans to expand the listed programs, and add more categories across mental health, this project is a nationally funded venture and an important one at that!
